Moises Gilbert Gomez, Jr. passed away May 23, 2014 at the Evanston Regional Hospital.
Jr. was born October 23, 1959 in Evanston Wyoming. He was the fourth child and 1st son born to Moises Gilbert and Sondra Lou (Hoffman) Gomez. He lived in Evanston most of his life except for a few years he spent in Montrose, Colorado when he was a child.
Jr. was married to Elana Dean for a short time and they had two children, Angelina and Jeremy.
He later married Valerie Hurst on March 26, 1983 and again he was blessed with two children, Janelle and Heather.
Jr. worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, Ellingford Brothers and Elk Horn. He loved fishing and camping and working with family and friends as he was growing up and we will miss him.
He is survived by his daughters Janelle Dawn (Jason) Still; Heather Dawn Gomez and Angelina; and a son Jeremy.
His brothers and sisters: Velda (Jerry) Horn; Virgie (Tom) Joyner; Lucinda (Terry) Leckie; Kim (Traci) Gomez; Todd Gomez; Doreen (Jimmy) Kilgore; Roderick Gomez; Randy Gomez; Reuben (Michelle) Gomez; Evelyn (Pablo) Rayes and Ray Gomez
He is preceded in death by his father, Moises Gilbert Gomez, his mother Sondra Lou Hoffman Gomez; his grandparents, Moises and Elicia Gomez; Ivan Hoffman and Arvella Gunn Harris and two nephews, Brady Leckie and Thomas Kilgore.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Evanston LDS Second Ward Chapel at Oak and Elm Streets.
Friends may call at the Crandall Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Evanston City Cemetery.
