Milton passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at his residence, the same property he was born on. He was born December 16, 1932; the 12th of 12 children, to John Ezra Slagowski and Sarah Jane Bodell Slagowski and was raised in Lyman, Wyoming. Milton is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, wife Shirley Slagowski and son Eldred Gene Slagowski. He married Der’Rell Storey with whom they raised 5 children and later divorced. He is survived by his loving wife Sharon Slagowski; 4 Children Milton (Ann) Slagowski Jr.; Sylvia (William) Tanner, Pam Slagowski Brookshire, and Kenneth Clay (Melanie) Slagowski; 3- Step Children Tobe (Marcela) Vigil, Tina Vigil and Teresa (Thomas) Casper. He has numerous Grand Children, Great Grands and Great, Great Grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He began his mining career at Westvaco Mines in 1953 and retired from FMC Corporation after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Local Union 8499 – Rock Springs Jackson Bus Lines where he drove bus for 15 years. He served as a Special Deputy Sheriff for Uinta County Sheriff’s Department. Milt was involved in the Lions Club, Search & Rescue, and Pool and Bowling Leagues. He was a gun collector and reloaded his own shells. He had many interests: Chariot Races, Rodeo’s, Horses, and story- telling (and boy was he a storyteller with his favorite being the 3 “Sisters, Wyoming”). He loved riding his Gold Wing motorcycle and made several long- distance trips. Hobbies include hunting, fishing, and camping with friends and family. A Celebration of Life will be held during the summer and details will be announced.
