Melissa Kaye Fisher, age 48, passed away following a lengthy battle with cancer on Friday, May 20, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born September 14, 1973, in Midwest City Oklahoma; the daughter of Troy Wayne and Martha Mae (Hodde) Garmon. She grew up in the Guthrie area, she graduated with the class of 1991 and attended Wyoming Community College receiving a degree in Early Childhood Development. She married Merrill (JR) Bowman, November 4th 1995, and together they had two daughters Shelbey and Troyanna. He preceded her in death on June 29th, 2012. She married Noah A. Fisher on October 8, 2014, in Evanston. Melissa was a true Dallas Cowboy and Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed football, baseball, Mickey Mouse, camping, Christmas, teaching, and playing domino’s, most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Melissa is survived by her loving husband Noah, children Shelbey (Steven) Parrish, Troyanna Bowman, Tashia (Shawn) Mari, Christopher (Justine) Bowman. Her father Troy Garmon, brother Mark (Denise) Garmon, sisters Rhonda (Curtis) Ketch, Tammie (Jon) Brewer; Sissy (Junior) Davis, Cindy Garmon. Seven grandchildren, one great grandchild.
Melissa was preceded in death by TD and Nan Garmon, Herman and Minnie Hodde, Martha Garmon, Gerildine M. Bowman, David Anthony Garmon and an infant granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at Crandall Funeral Home Friday, June 3, 2022 at 2:00 pm. A visitation will be Thursday evening between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 pm and again one hour prior to services on Friday. Interment will follow in the Evanston City Cemetery.
