Maureen June Ellingford, 72, passed away suddenly on August 24, 2012. She was born April 19, 1940 to Melvin and June Davis. She married her sweetheart, Jay Ellingford, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple on December 2, 1960. Among her many loves were singing, playing piano, playing Solitaire and Hand and Foot, entertaining and visiting with family and friends. In recent years she had spent much time camping and 4-wheeling over 10,000 miles in southern Utah and the Arizona Strip with her husband and friends. She spent many hours serving in 4-H, on the Uinta County Fairboard and in various church callings. She was an avid reader and seeker of truth. Her greatest love was spending time with, caring for and supporting her husband, children and grandchildren in their many activities.
She is survived by husband, Jay Ellingford; son Brett (Robyn) Ellingford; daughters Brenda (Dave) Iler of Rohnert Park, Calif., Susan (Brent) Gerrard; Lisa and the late Philip Beachell; Stacee Ellingford; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; mother, June Davis; brothers Melvin (Annette) Davis of South Jordan, Ut.; and William (Julia) Davis.
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Davis; brother, Lawrence Davis; and grandson, Hayden Ellingford.
A viewing will be held Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elm Street LDS Church with viewing one hour prior. Interment will follow at the Evanston City Cemetery.
