Evanston- Mary Nielsrikke Dinesen Jensen Smith, 90, passed away on April 13, 2012 in the Evanston Regional Hospital.
She was born on April 5, 1922 in Felding, Denmar, to Carl Christian and Louise Caine (Dinnesen) Jensen.
She married Judson Enos Smith in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 5, 1952. They later divorced.
She was a member of the LDS Church and had taught primary. Mary enjoyed reading and singing and she loved horses and her grand dogs.
She is survived by her daughter Mary E. Smith of Evanston; and a son Joseph Smith of Sweet Home, Oregon.
Brother: Jens Jenson of Denmark and two sisters Nita, of Canada and Mickelson of Utah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and two sisters, Raunhile Jensen and Astrid Jensen (Miksell)
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Second and Fifth Ward LDS Chapel.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, contributions to any no kill animal rescue facility in her memory would be very appreciated
