Mary Elizabeth Brisko passed peacefully to her next estate surrounded by her three children and their spouses on 31 May 2019. Mary was born the second of six girls to Byron Locke and Hilda Mae Kindervater in Meadville PA on 18 April 1925. Mary’s youth was spent in Pennsylvania and Ohio. She had many fond memories of her youth and being raised near the family farm with many loving mentors. The family migrated west at the close of WWII and established their home in Cheyenne Wyoming. That is where she met her husband and eternal companion Victor Andrew Brisko (Andy). They were married in Raton New Mexico and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on 03 December 1970.
Mary had many talents and her life was filled with many accomplishments. First and foremost, she was a loving Mom and dedicated companion. Her gifts included seamstress, cook, ceramics, teacher, Utah Jazz fan and friend. She held many church callings and served a mission at the Genealogical Library in Salt Lake City, UT.
Mary lived life to the fullest, her greatest earthly joy was her family. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in any family setting.
Mary is survived by her three children Kathleen (Darius) Moretti, Robert (Brenda) Brisko, and Byron (Marielle) Brisko, 10 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents Byron & Hilda, her husband Andy, her granddaughter Traci Ann, and her sisters Bess, Bing and Jean.
Services will be held at the Mountain View WY 1st Ward Chapel on Saturday June 8, 2019. The viewing starts at 10:00am and the funeral will commence at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the Fort Bridger cemetery.
