Mark Fry

November 10, 1952 — August 23, 2012

Mark Richard Fry passed away from cancer surrounded by his wife and
children on Thursday, August 23,2012 in Oakley. Mark was born on November 10, 1952 to Richard and Maxcine Reuckert Fry (later divorced). He grew up in Rose Park and graduated from West High in 1971. Mark married Katherine Conder on September 20, 1973 and together they raised their two children in a Christian home.
Mark worked for UDOT for thirty-two years. He was a member of the South Summit Fire District for twenty-nine years and served as chief for eighteen years.  Mark was also Past-President ofthe Utah State Firemen's Association. Mark was currently serving as the South Summit Fire District Commissioner. For the past seven years, Mark worked for South Summit School District driving school bus.  Mark lived to serve and help others, especially his family and community.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, son Craig, daughter Stephanie Clegg (Jimmy), and sister Leslie Sage (Jim). He was adored by his beautiful grandchildren Brittnee and Hunter Fry and Kinley and Avery Clegg as well as numerous other family members and hundreds of friends.
Preceded in death by both of his parents, his stepmother Lulean and mother-in-law Carol.
The family wishes to thank all of the health professionals that have shown
love to Mark these past few months. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday,  August 27 from 1-2 pm at the Oakley Fire Station, 4987 N State Road. Then directly following the celebration will be a Last Call.
