Marion Knox, beloved mother, wife, sister and friend, passed away on January 30, 2012, at the age of 88 from completions after hip surgery.
She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Knox.
She is survived by two daughters, Sylvia Prescott and Candace Graham; two sisters, Yvonne Turner and Ellen Mott; one brother Ralph Richardson; five grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Marion was always industrious. When younger she always collected donations for the Red Cross and Community Chest. Marion was a Blue Bird and Campfire Girl leader. She ran a swim school and taught all the neighbor kids how to swim. She and her husband, Howard, built a sail boat, making it their home. They sailed the Pacific and Caribbean waters for 15 years and made many dear friends. After retiring from the sea she spent her time gardening and volunteering for the Swanee County, Florida animal shelter. After Howard died, she moved to Kamas Utah to be near her daughter Sylvia. She always missed the warm weather of Florida. In Kamas she gardened and made many beautiful items for the church humanitarian projects. She will always be missed and loved.
