She was predeceased by husband's; Keith Bishop, Jerry Lake, Richard Timperley, son Michael Lake (Susan), brothers Blain and John Morgan (Iva Lou), and stepson Craig Timperley.
As an active member in her community, and church she will be missed by many others outside of her family as well.
Mariel lived a life of service. She held church callings in the Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society. Later in life she was constantly visiting elderly friends and neighbors, bringing them meals, and giving them rides to church. She especially served her brother Blain by visiting often and going on walks with him.
When not serving others, Mariel enjoyed hobbies such as yard work, knitting, reading, collecting Elvis memorabilia, and cheering on the Utah Jazz. Most of all, she loved time with her family. She traditionally hosted Christmas, 4th of July, and Thanksgiving at her house. Her family always looked forward to gathering at her home and never left without a yummy treat.
Mariel enjoyed other activities like being a member of the "Daughter of Utah Pioneers" club, and Senior Circle. She also was an avid exercise enthusiast even into her late 70's and worked out daily at the Evanston Recreation Center and Curves.
She was an incredibly hard worker and held many jobs from a young age. In her early years she baby sat, worked at her father’s store "Summit Market", and the Strand Theatre. Later, she held jobs at the State Hospital, Credit Bureau, and the Sheriff's Office, where she worked as a dispatcher.
Mariel Timperley, known to most as "Grandma T" lived a life that exemplified the love she had for her Savior, Jesus Christ. We are grateful for the wonderful Christlike example that she left behind.
