Margaret Stark Walker (93) passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.  Margaret was born in Lindon, Utah, July 11, 1921, the oldest of four daughters of Wilford John and Olive Johnson Stark. She was raised on the family farm in Orem, Utah, working in the fields alongside her father. She attended elementary school in Lindon and graduated as one of the top 10 students of her class from Pleasant Grove High School.

She was sealed to Rex Basil Walker in the Salt Lake temple on May 28th, 1941. She followed him to North Carolina, and El Paso Texas as he served his country during WWII.  Following his release from the Army, they settled in Kamas, Utah where she lived the remainder of her life.

She was a dedicated homemaker, a wonderful cook and seamstress and was known for her beautiful vegetable gardens and flowerbeds. She had a love for music and sang with the Choralettes from Heber Valley for ten years.  She served as president of the Summit East Unit of the American Cancer Society for six years.

An active member of the LDS church, she served in many of the organizations, especially Relief Society, twice as ward Relief Society president.  She served seven years as a guide patrol leader and loved hiking with all 68 boys.  She typed over 1406 patriarchal blessings while her husband served as stake patriarch.

She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Rex Basil Walker, children Carolyn (Lynn) Winterton, Cheryl (Harvey) Hughett, Barry (Diane) Walker and Garry (Cindy) Walker, 29 grandchildren, 91 great grandchildren, and her sisters Edith Stark Veteto and Rosalyn Stark Beveridge.  She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Rex J (Kathy) Walker and sister Carol Stark Swenson.
