Margaret McCulloch 94, passed away peacefully at her home on the St.Jeor homestead in Bridger Valley on December 26, 2012. She was born March 11th 1918. Her parents were Jacob A. and Elsie Marie Lowseth Jacobsen. They were Norwegian Emigrants who first came to Superior and then to Milburn where Margaret was born and raised. Later she graduated from Mt. View High School. She had two older brothers John, and Ole (Virginia), and two younger brothers Edwin (Janette) and Tommy. Three of the four served in the second world war. Tommy the youngest was killed in France. They all preceded her in death.
She married Lester St. Jeor March 17th 1938 in Provo Utah. They worked construction and moved around the country until they moved back to Bridger Valley to take care of Lester’s parents. They had 3 children, Don St. Jeor, at Truth or Consequences N.M , Nancy Beck lives at the ranch, and Patsy St Jeor lives in Fort Bridger. Lester died in 1964. Later she married Royer McCulloch. They combined their properties and worked very hard and had a very enjoyable life until Royer passed away August 2001. She spent the rest of her years at the ranch enjoying her yard, flowers, family, friends and her ducks. She fell and broke her hip December 2011 and never did recover. She was always happiest at the ranch and it was always home to her.
She had four Grand Children Kelly Berrier, Lyman. Kristie (Jim) Erickson, Juneau Ak.. Wade (Jen) Toomer, Stansbury Park, Ut. and Rory (Carla) Toomer, Lyman. And 6 Great Grandchildren. Raleighy, Sierra, and Ryan Toomer, Arian Toomer and Camden and Bergen Erickson. To all of them she was know as Grammy. As far as she was concerned they were all perfect in her eyes, and they all loved to spend time on the ranch and they all loved their Grammy. She had several nieces and nephews she was also very close to.
The family and the women who helped take care of her during her confinement learned to love her gentle spirit. The family will always be grateful to Best Home Health and Hospice and the individuals who made it possible for her to stay in her home where she was very contented to the end. Thank you.
Memorial services will be held Jan.9th. Visitation will be at 10:00 am and services will be at 11:00 am at the Presbyterian Church in Mt. View, Wyoming.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home.
