My sweet wife, Marcia Leone Martindale Coombs, a loving mother and grandmother, returned home to her Heavenly Father after succumbing to complications of illness on March 12, 2014, at the University of Utah Medical Center.
She was born in Oakley, ID.; on June 18, 1938 to David Ruland Martindale and Nora Leone Wilson. She graduated from Oakley High School, attended BYU, and is a graduate of Bryman School of Nursing. On September 5, 1958 she married her sweetheart, Edward L. Coombs, for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. She faithfully served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was an active member of the Evanston, WY. 5th Ward. Marcia loved her family most of all but enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, doing genealogy and traveling.
She is survived by her husband Ed, daughter Leslie Severe (Bob), Cheyenne, WY.; sons Kurt Coombs (Vickie), of Gardendale, TX.; and Max Coombs, of Waco, TX.; 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brothers, Rod, Mark and Kim Martindale and sisters, Bonnie Young and Glenda King. She was preceded in death by her parents David and Nora, her step mother, Verla Hale, a sister, Norine Robinson and a brother, David Martindale, JR.
Visitation will be held in Evanston, WY. At Crandall Funeral Home on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 6-8PM and on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Elm Street LDS Chapel from 9:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be at the Farmington City Cemetery, Farmington, UT. At 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 15, 2014.
