Luis Ibarra Loma, 59, passed away on February 6, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on August 25, 1958, in Cicacalco, Zacatecas, Mexico to Macario Ibarra Lopez and Emilia Loma Garcia. He was the oldest of 10 children. On February 14, 1981, he married the love of his life Evalia Arteaga. In 1982 they planted their roots in Evanston. Luis owned El Rancho Grande Restaurant for more than 20 years. He also worked at Western Industrial Inc. as a Superintendent. Luis was a kind hearted, generous, and humble man who took pride in his hard work. He loved to spend time with his family especially with his three grandchildren. He enjoyed reading, traveling and learning new skills.

He is survived by his loving wife, Evalia and children, Luis (Mayra) Ibarra Jr; Cristina (Luis) Gonzalez; Jessica Emilia Ibarra and Jesus Alberto Ibarra. His mother, Emilia and siblings, Teresa, Pedro, Maria Ester, Rosa, Gerardo, Efrain, Esmeralda, Edilberto, and Macario.

Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in St. Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Church. A vigil with recitation of the Rosary will be at 7 p.m. on Friday evening.

Viewing will be one hour prior to the Rosary and one hour prior to the Mass on Saturday.
