Lindsay Tait

December 26, 1957 — August 11, 2015

On Monday August 10th, 2015 Lindsay “Carson” Tait, 57, of Lyman, Wyoming was taken unexpectedly from our lives.  Carson was born on December 26, 1957 to LaVier C. and VeRene Tait, in Kanab, UT.
He was raised in Fredonia, Arizona surrounded by sisters and a brother. He spent a lot of time playing in the creek, climbing hills, and spending summers at a logging camp on the Kaibab. He enjoyed Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, especially the camping trips, and playing little league baseball.  He later became a Boy Scout leader himself.   He graduated Fredonia High School in 1975 with Hallelujah Honors from his Mother.  He received his Certification in Welding at a trade school in Phoenix, AZ, afterwards traveling to Pocatello, Idaho working for Bucyrus-Eyre.  In 1976 he moved to Lyman, WY and began working for FMC.
Carson married the love of his life Carol Ann Johnston on November 26, 1977.  Carson, with Carol by his side, raised their four kids, who never doubted that they were the center of their parents’ world.  Carson was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, uncle, son, and brother. He always went above and beyond, giving a helping hand when needed.  His kind, loving heart will live on in generations to come.
Carson was an avid outdoorsman; many of his happiest times were spent outside surrounded by his family.  He enjoyed rock hunting, hiking, camping, biking, horn hunting, fishing, & big game hunting.  His true calling was being a father and grandfather. The grandkids will always treasure their special memories including: kayaking and boating at the lake, water fights, going looking for rocks, horn hunting, camping, and the crocodile bite on his leg.
Carson was an advocate and leader for the local AA meetings for many years; he would leave at any time day or night to counsel those in need.
Carson retired from FMC in January 2013 after 35+ years, starting as a miner and working his way up to Shipping Foreman.  He was a hard-working, well respected man, who for years to come will always be remembered as fair and kind.
He is survived by Carol, his wife of 38 years; four children: Carl (Melissa) Hatch, Cara (Randy) Trees, Chris Tait, and Sam (Jessi Jo) Tait; his grandkids: Courtney, Correy, Lindsay Jaylene, Levi, Dakota, Lindsay Carson, and Kit. He is also survived by his mom VeRene Tait; four siblings: Teresa Tait (Stan Koehn), Steve (Cathy) Tait, Patti (Lyle) Heaton, and Nan McCormick.   He was preceded in death by his dad LaVier Tait.
Funeral Services will be held at the Lyman LDS Church on Friday, August 14 at 11:00 am.  The viewing will be held Thursday August 13th, from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm and Friday 10:00am-10:45am prior to the service.  Interment will follow at the Lyman Cemetery.
A luncheon will be provided directly after the services at the Lyman LDS Church.
