Linda Rae Lovato was born September 16, 1947, in Montpelier, Idaho to Rose and Lamaar Thornock. She was the sixth of eleven children.
She grew up in Sage, Wyoming and attended school in Cokeville, Wyoming. In 1965, she married Robert Westmoreland. The following year, she became both a widow and a mother to Audra. She married Benito Lovato on October 2, 1968, becoming a bonus mom to David. Later, Lucinda and Patricia came along, completing their family.
Linda was a hard worker, holding jobs as a waitress and in housekeeping before becoming employed by the Uinta County School District as a school bus driver and food service worker, retiring after many years. She then volunteered in the gift shop at ERH.
Linda enjoyed camping, ATV rides with Ben and her siblings, family get together, summers at Bear Lake and traveling.
She loved to spend time playing all types of card games, board games, bingo and newly-found passion for diamond art.
Linda died of natural causes in the early morning hours of April 11, 2024 at the University of Utah hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers and her great granddaughter, Annalyse.
She is survived by her children; David Spencer, Audra (Dan) Bell, Lucinda Townsend and Patricia (Nathan) Wright; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at the Evanston City Cemetery. Luncheon will follow at the 5th Ward Elm Street Chapel.
