Lynda-Jeanne Batie, 65, passed away in Evanston, Wyoming on Monday, April 11, 2016. She was born on November 30, 1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Marvin Walpole and Shirley Jean Field.
Lynda attended Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah where she furthered her music education and became an accomplished pianist. She later attended Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she attained her law degree graduating in the top 10 percent of her class. She enjoyed doing many things such as traveling, crafting, quilting, and cross stitching.
Lynda is survived by her mother Shirley Jean Ferrin of Evanston, Wyoming; sister Kathleen (Thomas) Crumpton of Rock Springs, Wyoming; brothers Robert D. (Janet) Walpole of Fredericksburg, Virginia, William E. (Barbra) Walpole of Centerville, Utah, and a half-brother Shawn (Katie) Walpole of Kaysville, Utah. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Lynda was preceded in death by her father. A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10:30 am at the Sage Street LDS Chapel in Evanston. Her remains will later be interred near her father in Centerville, Utah
