Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Leslie W Mitchell, 75, passed away March 5, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was born in Coalville, Utah on August 6, 1946 to Bill and LaMarva (Simpson) Mitchell.
He attended school and graduated in California. Les then served his country in the Army during Viet Nam.
He married Mary Ann Chavez in Heber City on January 22, 1972. They made their home in the Kamas Valley. Les worked for several of the local sawmills before having a 37 year career with Crandall Crushing Corporation in Peoa, Utah as a truck driver. He loved to work outside. He enjoyed woodworking and most of all spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann; his daughters, Paulette (Bob) Webster of Heber; Annette Lowe of Kamas; his five grandchildren, Desirae and Damian Lowe; Ryan (Mackenzie) Webster; Kylee Webster and three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden and Hudson Webster.
His brothers, Jay Mitchell, Marve (Ronda) Mitchell; Larry (Debbie) Mitchell, and a sister, Linda (Tony) Lambeth.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and LaMarva.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kamas L.D.S. Ward Chapel, 200 West Center Street.
Graveside service with military honors will be in the Marion Cemetery on Thursday at 11:00 a.m.
