Leslie Hurst

Leslie Richard Hurst passed away Friday March 11, 2016 at his home in Evanston, Wyoming.  He was born on February 22, 1940 in Malta, Montana to Willard and Francis Hurst.
Les married Luella Jane Gaines on September 14, 1958 in Plenty Wood, Montana.  Together they had four children.  He owned and trained race horses and enjoyed snowmobiling, racing, Jazz, Nascar, traveling to see family, the laughter of his wife, time with his grandchildren and working at Uinta Meadows with the children.
He is survived by his children Valerie Hurst of Evanston, Wyoming, Connie (Lonnie) Lamb of Evanston, Wyoming and Ronda Hurst of Evanston, Wyoming and his daughter-in-law Valerie Hurst of St. George, Utah.  Also, by his brothers Wayne (Carol) Hurst of Plenty Wood, Montana, Larry (Mary Rose) Hurst of Grand Junction, Colorado, Jim (Linda) Hurst of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Curt (Angela) Hurst of Las Vegas, Nevada and sisters Sue Moore of Red Lodge, Montana, Patty Hurst of Sidney, Montana, ten grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Les was preceded in death by his wife Luella, son Bryan Hurst and brother Stan Hurst.
Funeral Services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 50 Yellowcreek Road in Evanston, Wyoming on Wednesday March, 16 2016 at 1:00 pm. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Wednesday from 12:00 to 12:40 pm at Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta Street in Evanston, Wyoming. Interment will follow the funeral services at Evanston City Cemetery.
