Lennis Hellstrom

Lennis Kay “Charlie” Hellstrom passed away suddenly at his home on November 5, 2015.  Charlie was born August 10, 1953 in Evanston, Wyoming to Myron and Marie (Rex) Hellstrom.

He graduated from South Rich High School, the “Class of 1971.”  He attended Denver Automotive & Diesel Center and studied to be a diesel mechanic.  Charlie was a lifelong member of the LDS church.  He held various positions within the church.  Charlie married his beloved wife Janet Wilson on November 25, 1987 and they were sealed eternally in the Logan Temple on August 21, 2007.
Charlie was a dedicated employee for 33 years at Chevron Coal Mine in Kemmerer, WY.  He retired in 2011 as a Maintenance Supervisor.  He was a skilled mechanic, welder and carpenter and loved working on anything in his spare time.  He enjoyed any activity outdoors with his wife, children, grandchildren, family, friends and best bud, “Timber”, an Alaskan Malamute.  He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, and razor riding in the hills.  He loved to be on “Top of the Mountain” gazing at the Uinta Mountains.

Charlie was a son, brother, father, or grandfather to everyone he knew.
Charlie is survived by his beloved wife Janet Wilson Hellstrom; brother Kjell Hellstrom; sister Pat Eastman; children Layland Kay (Jayme) Hellstrom, Lance Vincent (Jennifer) Hellstrom, Lisa Shae (Cullen) Pace, Robert Wayne (Tia) Pinter and Bailie Ann (Tyler) Bartlett; 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father Myron Leonard Hellstrom; mother Marie (Rex) Hellstrom; sister Janae (Noral) Foster and brother-in-law Dan Eastman.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 12 noon at the Randolph LDS Chapel.  A viewing will be held at the Randolph Chapel on Tuesday, November 10, from 6 to 8pm as well as 2 hours prior to the service on Wednesday.  Interment will follow at the Randolph Cemetery.
