Laurie Willson
Oakley- Laurie Clements Willson, 46, passed away on August 4, 2016 on her 28th wedding anniversary.
She was born on January 24, 1970 in American Fork, Utah to Larry Lamar and Shirley Jean (Anderson) Clements.
On August 4, 1988 she married her best friend Richard John Willson in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Their marriage was made eternal when they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Aug. 5, 2013.
Laurie was very family oriented and lived for her children and grandchildren. One of her most favorite things was spoiling Joshua and the Grandkids. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, riding horses and walking the many trails around the beautiful valley that she lived. Laurie was very talented and enjoyed sewing, baking, scrapbooking, gardening and crafts of any kind. She was accomplished in making wedding cakes and did it professionally for a time. Laurie was easy to talk to and a great listener; she touched the hearts of everyone she met. Laurie always had a hug for anyone in need of one. She was outgoing and always made those around her laugh, she was sometimes known as a goof ball.
Laurie was a very strong soul. She had endured many trials throughout her earthly life, and she always walked through them with grace and faith that her father in heaven had a plan in place.
She will be intensely missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her mother Shirley Jean (Anderson) Clements.
She is survived by her loving husband: Richard John Willson of Oakley; and children: Cheyanne (Ian) Lindhardt, of Spanish Fork; Bobbie (Collin) Ricks of Pleasant Grove; and Joshua R.J. Willson of Oakley.
Grandchildren: Rylie Ann Lindhardt; Michael Ian Lindhardt; and Mikynlie Lisa Lindhardt.
Her father, Larry Lamar Clements of Pleasant Grove; and sisters Marjorie (Lee) Shelton, of Rigdby, Idaho and Tammy (Kevin) Buckley of Clinton. She is also survived by, nine nephews and six nieces.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kamas LDS Stake Center, 3038 North SR 32 in Marion, Utah. Friends and family will gather at the church on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Oakley North Bench Cemetery under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home Kamas, Utah.
A memorial fund has been set up at Mountain America Credit Union in the name of Richard/Laurie Willson In lieu of flowers donations in Laurie’s memory would be very appreciated.
