Laura Slagowski

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of Laura Dee Slagowski.

On September 1, 2022, Laura passed away at the age of 70 surrounded by her family and friends.

Laura was born April 2, 1952, in Evanston, WY to Delores Dee and Benjamin Eugene Slagowski. Laura grew up in Evanston with her eight sisters and six brothers.

Laura spent her life in Evanston where she was blessed with her first-born Stephanie.

In 1982, Laura was married to John Russell. Laura and John were blessed with three more children, Janeen, Jonathan and Jessica, who later gave her, what she would say, “are her greatest blessing in life”, her grandchildren, Isayah, Annastie and Jonnali.

Laura had a passion for life. She enjoyed many things; writing, taking photos, painting, singing, and dancing. She loved telling and hearing jokes. She had the ability to light up a room with her beautiful smile and genuine laugh.

Laura will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Depot in Evanston, WY on Saturday September 17, 2022, at 11:00 am.
