Thomas Landen “Lanny” Bergen passed away peacefully at his parent’s home in Evanston, WY on July 13, 2023.
Lanny was born on June 7, 1969, in Provo, UT and lived the majority of his life in Wyoming. He graduated from Evanston High School in 1987. He was employed in the oil field and construction industries and had the opportunity to work in Kazakhstan. He was a talented artist; specifically creating charcoal and pencil drawings and wood carvings. He was known for his scrimshaw carvings on oilfield worker’s hard hats.
Lanny married Heather Wallcek. They later divorced but were blessed with two beautiful daughters.
He is survived by his parents Brent and Judy Bergen; daughters Alec (Spencer Johns) and Hailey (Johnathan Hampton); grandchildren Payton, Paisley, Kash, Jaxon, and Brooklyn; siblings Troy, Kevin, Shane, Bryce and Shae, as well as many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
