Heaven gained a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was a humble, honest, kind, loyal, hardworking, faith filled man who loved and forgave without hesitation.
L. Donald Bond was born October 15, 1959 to Larry and Nita Bond. He grew up in Robertson Wyoming on the Bond Ranch and Robertson store; where he learned what hard work was and where his love for the outdoors began. He passed away September 5, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones.
Bond met the love of his life (Melody) in grade school. She made fun of his big ears, so he stabbed her in the arm with his pencil. The rest was true lover history. They made their home in Robertson, where they raised their three kids.
Don was a family man, who enjoyed spending all his free time and days off doing what he loved which was camping, fishing, and hunting with his family and anyone else that wanted to join.
Bond was an avid bow hunter and was blessed being able to travel the world with his love, and harvesting big game off his bucket list. But his favorite part of hunting was being able to watch a loved one or kid harvest their own. You could always find him on a dirt road in the mountains or the trees scouting for a critter or cutting trees, which he would then turn into his hobby of woodworking.
He was a humble man with a big heart, that was unaware of the lives he touched. He was a rock and constant support for more than just his family, and always taking someone under his wing.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Melody Bond; three kids, Chase (Taina) Bond, Morgan Bond, Gurty (Josh aka The Boy) Matthews; nine grandkids, Aspen, Makaylee, Hadyn, Easton, Xander, Ryder, Clarissa, Xavier and Ronan; his mother Nita Bond; five brothers, Charles Bond, Kelly Bond (Robin), James Bond (Carol), Ken Bond, Scott Bond (Tina) and many others.
He was preceded in death by his father Larry Bond and close cousin Randle Bond.
