Kevin Jay Page
1955-2013
Kevin Jay Page, age 57, of St. George, Utah, passed away April 27, 2013. Born in Lewiston, Idaho on December 31, 1955 to David and Maxine Page, Kevin lived by a simple motto “Work hard and play hard.” Soon after serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Kevin married Pamela Jean Matthews in the Los Angeles, California temple on June 9, 1978. They moved to Utah soon after their marriage. Together there was nothing this dynamic duo could not do. Kevin worked as an auctioneer for over 20 years, managing Brasher’s Auto Auction for 17 years and servicing the community at Western Fleet Sales. During those years he and Pam completed their family of 6 children and lived in South Jordan and Kamas, Utah. He served in many capacities in the church, including Elder’s Quorum president, counselor in the Bishopric, and Bishop. Kevin’s ready smile, genuine love of people, and strong work ethic helped him build many friendships and earned the respect of everyone he met. In 2010 Kevin and Pam served a mission for the LDS church in Accra, Ghana. Since their return home Kevin has continued to live by his motto, working hard in the yard of their St. George home, rebuilding his Bronco, serving a church service mission at the St. George Home Storage Center, and exploring the beautiful terrain of southern Utah with Pam and new friends in their Washington ward. The role he treasured the most was being grandpa to his 27 beautiful grandchildren. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents David and Maxine Page and his granddaughter Alexis Faith Page, and is survived by his wife Pam and their children Heather (Sean) Cummings, Brianne (Erik) Olson, Megan (Greg) Atkinson, Clinton (Shanna) Page, Chelsea (Kyle) Dunaway, and Darci (Jason) Hansen.
