Kent Michael Batty, 44, passed away on October 12, 2017 in a single vehicle accident west of Logan, UT as he was coming home from work. Kent was born on August 12, 1973 in Logan to Curtis Eugene Batty and Cynthia Fujimoto Batty. He grew up in Randolph, UT graduating from Rich High School. He attended Bridgerland Applied Technology College in Logan and had resided there since then. As a young child, he had a hip condition which required hospitalization, wearing an A-frame cast for a time, and then an A-frame brace for a couple of years. This experience made him sensitive to people who had special needs. He was kind, caring, and loyal. If Kent became your friend, he was your friend for life. Although he had some physical limitations, he loved playing little league baseball and basketball. He enjoyed taking care of and playing with cats and dogs. He always had to have a radio, cd player, or some other device playing his favorite music. Kent was a hard worker. He worked for several companies in the Logan area, the last were Icon Health and Fitness and West Liberty Foods. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Cynthia and Woodrow Seiersen, Santaquin, UT; father, C. Eugene Batty, Rock Springs, WY,step grandmother Millie Fujimoto Idabel, OK, brothers Garth Batty, Orem, UT, and Thayne (Julia) Shanghai, China; sisters Marisa, Orem and Shannon (Zach) Watson, Provo, UT; a nephew Dante Watson and nieces Alanna and Mikayla Watson plus aunts, uncles, cousins, and step brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by a brother Robbert Daniel, grandparents Masayoshi and Kiyoko Fujimoto and Curtis and Elaine Batty. uncles Don Batty and Jim St. Clair, aunt Esther Fujimoto, and cousin Duane Batty Visitation will be Friday October 20 from 6-8 pm at the Randolph LDS Church, Randolph, UT. A short visitation from 10-10:30 am with a service beginning at 11 will be held at the church on Saturday, October 21.
