Kenneth Blain Morgan, of Evanston passed away at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston, Wyoming on August 24, 2012 at the age of 80.
Kenneth was born on October 3, 1931 in Payson, Utah. He was the first born child to Kenneth Reid Morgan and Maud Ann (Olson) Morgan. Early in Blain’s life he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and given a less than normal life expectancy by the current medical professionals
Anyone that knew Blain realized that his physical disability did not prevent him from having a measure of life full of productivity and enjoyment. Although Blain couldn’t claim to have been born in Wyoming, Evanston has always been his home. He attended East Grade and Clark Elementary Schools to begin his education then continued on to Evanston Jr. High and High Schools, where he gained a basic education before his debut as the manager of Summit Market also known as Morgan’s Store. Blain was an active life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He faithfully served in any capacity to which he was called.
Blain had many hobbies including leather tooling, yard work, home repairs, and inventing useful gadgets. Blain had a quick witted sense of humor that could lighten anyone’s day.
Blain was preceded in death by his parents, younger brother John Reid Morgan, nephew Mike Lake, and his brothers in law. He is survived by two sisters, Mariel Timperley and JoAnn Meadows, and many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Evanston Stake Center, 1224 Morse Lee Street, with Bishop Kent Williams officiating. Interment will follow services at the Evanston Cemetery, Evanston, WY.
