Kenneth Felix Aimone passed away at his home in Fort Bridger, Wyoming on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the age of 65. He was born July 13, 1947 in Coalville, Utah to Felix and Mary Josephine (Condos) Aimone. Kenny married Esther L. Bird on March 23, 1967 in Carson City, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake L.D.S Temple on September 23, 1978.
Kenny was a member of the LDS Church. He was the owner and operator of “North Slope Outfitters” and loved packing into the mountains to fish and hunt. He was a saddle bronc rider for several years earning the Championship in the RMRA Association in 1976. He loved the Rodeo and attended Cheyenne Frontier Days and Dodge Circuit Finals every year for many years.
He was a clown for local rodeos, helped with the July 4th barbeque, and occasionally put entries in the parade. He organized the High School Rodeo Club for the kids in the Bridger Valley. Kenny worked for FMC Corporation for forty years until he retired in 2009. He loved to work on his ranch and took pride in his alfalfa patch. He loved running on the walk path in the wintertime, traveling, watching his grandchildren play sports, and spending time with his family and friends, especially Gary Massa.
Kenny is survived by his wife Esther, his sons; Stanley (Becky) Aimone of Ft. Bridger, Shawn (Dee) Aimone of Ft. Bridger, Skeeter (Jenna) Aimone of Mountain View; and a daughter, Vanessa Aimone (Augusto Jamias) of Rock Springs, 8 grandchildren, his mother Mary Aimone, brothers: Larry Aimone, Rudy (Jennifer) Aimone, Pete (Wendy) Aimone, and a sister MaeVonne Adams.
He was preceded in death by his father, Felix, and grandparents.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 10 am at the Lyman LDS Stake Center in Urie. A viewing will be held on Friday night at the Stake Center from 6 to 8 pm as well as 1 hour prior to services on Saturday. Interment will follow services at the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
