On July 18, 2022 Kelsi Marie Warner Gimmeson, 36 left this world peacefully after a courageous 8 month battle with stage 4 colon cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends. She will be missed by many.

Kelsi was born on September 11, 1985, to Kim Warner (deceased) and Julie Buck O’Driscoll. Kelsi grew up in Oakley, Utah. She was the youngest of three girls, therefore she was luckily spoiled by her sisters. Kelsi was a blonde-haired cutie that enjoyed summer trips to Bear Lake, Oakley 4th of July Celebrations, outings with her sisters, and having fun with her friends. Kelsi was lucky to be 6 days older than her “twin” best friend Sydney. They were two peas in a pod often together, as Kelsi was quiet and reserved and Sydney was her voice.

Upon graduating from South Summit High School, Kelsi pursued her career as a Helicopter pilot. She was very successful in this career and for a time was an instructor. She worked in New Orleans flying back and forth to the ocean oil towers. She often found this fun and exciting enjoying the adventure.

After working as a pilot for 4 years she met the love of her life Ray Gimmeson. Kelsi and Ray met on on November 8, 2008 and were married March 20, 2010. They lived, traveled, and adventured in 3 different states with Rays job. Kelsi and Ray enjoyed doing most everything together and were best friends in addition to companions. In May 2015 they settled in San Diego, making it their home. Kelsi’s greatest calling was being the mother to three beautiful girls, Zoey Rae (8/16/2010), Haven Marie (11/22/2013), and Henley June (6/6/2019). Kelsi proudly put her piloting on the shelf (still maintaining her license) to stay home and raise her girls. She loved adventuring, participating in various activities, and spending whatever time she could with them.

If you knew Kelsi, you knew her loving, kind, loyal and genuine nature. You would never find a person in which you could confide in and who would love you just the same. You also knew that as reserved as she was, she knew when to let loose and become the life of the party. Her laughter alone will ring on forever.

Kelsi’s faith in God was strong, her favorite scripture being Matthew 17:20. This faith along with family and friends helped carry her through her tough battle with cancer. As family and friends often relied on her in life, throughout her battle with cancer she relied on them. They were her and Ray’s pilar of strength and love.

Kelsi and Ray are grateful for all the help that has been provided over the past months. They would like to thank Kelsi’s mom, Julie O’Driscoll and sisters Rachelle Warner and Lyndsey Smalley for their help with the girls, support, and love, especially over the last several months. Thank you to Loren and Tiffany Chandler for speedily and without question flying them to Utah and transporting a vehicle to Utah to allow them to get around. Thank you to Curtis and Sydney Sargent for welcoming them into their home, living with them, and making these last few weeks a place where everyone is welcome. Thank you to Stephanie Morris and Enhabit Hospice for their continued care and comfort. Finally, last but certainly not least the many family members and friends for reaching out, visits, food, tears, talks, care and outpouring of love and laughter that has filled their lives over the past couple of weeks. These acts of kindness can never be replaced but will always be a remembered. Kelsi left her mark on this world; she left the world a little brighter and will continue to be a light when the world seems dark.

She is survived by her husband Ray Asay Gimmeson, her three daughers Zoey Rae, Haven Marie, Henley June, her mom Julie O’Driscoll (Sparky), sisters Rachelle Warner, Lyndsey Smalley (Kai), step brother Nathan O’Driscoll (Nicole), Grandpa Buck, many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her dad Kim Brown Warner, grandparents Warners and Buck.

Her services will be held July 23, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ledges building, 202 Park Road in Coalville, Utah. Viewing at the Ledges will be from 9:30 to 10:45 am.   Interment will follow in the Coalville Cemetery.
