Keith William Eilers, 52 years, passed away unexpectedly, peacefully at his home in England. He and his wife maintained a home in Evanston, Wyoming since 1999. They were looking forward to returning when his job commitment was completed.
His adventurous views took him to faraway places. But he was just as eager to explore and enjoy the opportunities around home. He never squandered a moment of time instead choosing to fill his life with travelling, home projects and time with friends and family. Keith lived with honesty, loyalty and integrity.
Born to Bill and Ginnie Eilers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he arrived in Denver, Colorado as a toddler. He has three younger brothers, Gary (Paula), Scott (Terri) and Glenn (Tomie) and eight nieces and nephews. As a child, Keith developed a passion for the mountains and spent most of his life hiking, mountain climbing and skiing. He met his wife of 18 years, Jana Marko, through their shared interests.
Keith was a dedicated 30-year employee of Chevron. He derived great pride from his job and enjoyed his co-workers. He worked in California, Texas, Colorado, Wyoming, Kazakhstan and the UK. As much as he valued his work however, Keith was able to prioritize his commitments: his family always came first.
A memorial service will be held at Crandall Funeral Home on 20 th July, 2011 at 7 p.m. Donations may be made in Keith’s name to University of Nebraska, Eppley Cancer Center, Omaha Nebraska
