Kathleen Rose Rex Thornock, passed away at her daughter’s home in Farmington, Ut. On April 20, 2012 at the age of 90. She was born on April 21, 1921 in Randolph, Utah, the daughter of William Thomas Rex and Agnes Ameila Hellstrom.
She married her best friend, Aden Kay Thornock, on October 6, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2007.
She enjoyed playing the organ, letter writing, quilting, listening to music, gardening, cooking, reading her scriptures, sharing “sweet peas”with friends and family. She loved her Savior, her family, her friends and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is known for the love she felt for others. Kathleen is encircled about by many loved ones who have gone before.
She is survived by her children, Gaylon Kay (JoAnne) Thornock of Evanston, WY.; Gordon (Dana) Thornock of Cokeville, WY.; Gloria (Brent) Armstrong of Farmington, UT. and Gregory Rex (Colleen) Thornock of Randolph, UT.; She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren (26), and great grandchildren (69).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kay, a granddaughter, Nikki, her parents, and siblings.
Visitation will be held at the Randolph L.D.S. Church on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and again one hour prior to services. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at the Randolph L.D.S. Chapel. Crandall Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
