Kathern Caroline Dodds, known by many as “Kate”, passed on June 20, 2017 at the age of 90, in Evanston Wyoming.
Kate Dodds was born on December 25, 1926 in Mountain View, Wyoming. She was the daughter of Garie Hugh Tripp and Anna Margaret Berg Tripp. Kate spent her growing years on the ranch, learning and working along with her 11 brothers and sisters. Kate married Charles “Chuck” Dodds on October 29, 1947 and they ended up settling down and built a modest home in Granger Wyoming. Chuck and Kate raised two wonderful children, Stan Dodds and Glenda Dodds Bradshaw. Stan currently resides in Big Piney and Glenda in Lyman. Kate was blessed with 6 Grand-Children, 26 Great Grand Children, and 1 Great Great Grand Child.
Kate spent her life working and enjoying life’s blessings. She grew up during the great depression and learned the value of hard work, dedication, and the value of a dollar. She loved watching her grand children in any activity. She traveled all over the state watching basketball, baseball, football, swimming and track. She spent many hours on grandpa’s road trips, and was able to see the country. She traveled aboard seeing many foreign countries and loving the sights and sounds. She loved the outdoors and spent many days fishing, boating, and golfing. She spent hour’s playing cards and loved going to senior citizens. She was an active member to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and looked forward to Sunday and seeing her many friends and family.
Kate was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, grandson Brian Bradshaw, and 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 10:00am at the Lyman LDS Church. A viewing will be held at 9:00am prior to the funeral for all family and friends to attend at the Lyman LDS Church. Interment will be next to her beloved husband at the Lyman Wyoming Cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be Hansen Bradshaw, Braxton Bradshaw, Braydon Bradshaw, Alex Bradshaw, Carter Bradshaw, Caden Bateman, Bransen Bradshaw, Landen Bradshaw, Kevin Bradshaw, Brad Bradshaw, and Clint Bradshaw.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Dempsey Dodds, Billy Ralph Dodds, Jack Gordon, Gary Henry, Jerry Tripp, Craig Tripp, Kevin Tripp, Todd Landers, Greg Landers, and Trent Dodds.
