Katherine Jones

Katherine Lee "Kathy"  Jones passed away in peace on October 7, 2015 from complications due to cancer.
She was born on March 10, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Gordon Lee and Janis Kay Williams.  She Married Barry Frank Jones on May 22, 1982 in Evanston, Wyoming their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple.
They were blessed with 4 children. Korinne M. Brice (Clint), Amber K. Whittaker (Dan), Kipp E. Jones and Kurt D. Jones. And 7 grandkids Ashton, Sydney, Moriah, Taryn, Alijah, Brayden and Cambree.
Katherine was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many callings throughout her life, Young Women’s President, Camp Director, Relief Society Presidency as well as helping out with anything and everything she was asked to do. Katherine loved spending time with her family whether it was her kids or grand kids or sisters and brother. She was an avid Nascar fan and she shared this love with her Mother and Sister traveling to Las Vegas for several years to watch the Big Race. She loved the outdoors and could be found spending time with her husband out on the golf courses. She loved to travel no matter where it might be and enjoyed just seeing the sights. You could find her often with her nose stuck in her kindle or inside the cover of a book because of her love of reading. She was also a gifted artist and early in her marriage could be found painting pictures of Indians and such. Although her fast paced life did not allow her to paint often
the things she did were beautiful. She was a very attentive mother and was always trying to fix one thing or another that was going on in her kid's lives. She was also a very devoted daughter and sister and friend always keeping in touch with all to make sure they were doing okay.
Katherine is survived by her husband of 33 years and all of her children and grandchildren as well as her Mother and Father and sisters and brother, Gordon Wade Williams, Paulette Williams and Jennifer German, also Mother in Law Glenna M. Jones and many aunts, uncles, cousins, sister and brother in laws and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Grandma and Grandpa Vadie Williams, Grandma and Grandpa John Druce as well as her Father in Law Eugene C. Jones, and many Aunts, uncles and some cousins.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Evanston Stake Center, 1225 Morse Lee Street.   Viewing will be on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at Crandall Funeral Home, 800 Uinta Street, Evanston.
