Kalvin Mills Wilde passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, Tuesday, April 21, 2015.
He was born, February 21, 1944, in Coalville, Utah, to Emery & Bernice Mills Wilde, Kal married Caroll Ann Sorensen, June 21, 1963 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho LDS Temple. They were later divorced.
Kal was raised in his beloved Oakley, Utah attending South Summit Schools, graduating from South Summit High School. He attended Utah State University. Professionally, Kal was an award winning men’s hairstylists, winning many regional and national award competitions. In 1974 Kal was selected by a nationwide panel of judges as America’s Best Men’s hairstylist.
Later in his career, Kal became a successful Realtor and Real Estate Broker.
He is survived by four sons, their spouses and children: Daren (Angie), Murray, Utah; Denton (Laurie), Idaho Falls, Idaho; Dylan (Brenda), Sandy, Utah; Donovan (Amy), Murray, Utah and grandchildren; Bobbie, Brandon, Skylar, Adrian, Jaxon, Kourtnie, and Samantha. He is also survived by a sister, Louise Bearden.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 27, 2015, at 11:00 am in the Marion Stake Center Chapel, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3038 State Road 32, Marion, Utah (between Oakley & Kamas on State Road 32). A viewing will be held Sunday, April 26th, from 6 to 8 pm in the evening at the Marion LDS Chapel. Family and friends may call at the chapel from 10:00 am to 10:45 am the day of the funeral service. Interment will be in the Oakley Cemetery.
