Judy G. Couey passed away May 27, 2014 at her home, surrounded by family after a courageous fight with cancer.
She was born on September 5, 1953 to Dirk Grotepas Sr. and Afton Miriam Forsyth Grotepas. Judy married Allen J. Couey on December 21, 1985.
Judy deeply loved her friends and family. She was a spirited, creative and caring person.
She is survived by her husband Allen Couey and children Amy Folker of Oakley, Ryan (Avette) Turner of Salt Lake City, Weston (Trish) Couey of Moab, Anthony (Kira) Couey of Salt Lake City and 12 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Woodland LDS Church, 4219 S Bench Creek Rd at 11:00am followed by a graveside service at the Woodland Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the funeral service beginning at 9:30am as well as on Sunday, June 1, 2014 between 7pm-9pm.
