Judith Anne (Judi) Nordahl Mitchell passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Phoenix, Arizona following a hospitalization with health complications.
She was born January 7, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Francis Richard (Sonny) Nordahl and Bonnie Jean Affleck Nordahl.
She was preceded in death by her twin sons, Kevin and Kurt in 1975, her parents, and brother-in-law Jack Richmond.
Judi married Lynn W. Mitchell on May 8, 1965; they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple. They would have celebrated their 52nd anniversary in May. She was an active member of the LDS church and held many callings throughout her life. She was an extremely dedicated and supportive wife, mother and grandmother as well as daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
After raising her family, she began working to support her daughters through college. Judi loved to spend time with and spoil her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crafting, baking and holidays with family. In recent years, she found great joy in spending time with her sweetheart at their second home in Phoenix.
Judi’s thoughtfulness, integrity, creativity, sense of humor and work ethic was evident in every area of her life.
She is survived by her husband and daughters: Marci Mitchell (Scott Walstrom), Staci (Steve) Randall, Jodi Jones and four grandchildren: Lyndi and Hadli Murray, Kylee and Kameron Jones, four sisters: Lynne Richmond, Solara Skye, Barbara Hardman, Chris Wight; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 12:00 pm at the Kamas, Utah LDS Chapel, 100 West Center Street. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Marion Cemetery.
