Joy Bond

Joy N. Bond, passed away at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston, Wyoming on January 17, 2015 at the age of 87.
Joy was born on December 4, 1927 in Evanston, Wyoming, the daughter of James and Lydia (Smith) Nibarger.  She married Emery James Bond on March 17, 1948 in Salt Lake City, UT.  She obtained her LPN degree and worked at Memorial Hospital in Evanston, WY. as a nurse from 1954 until her retirement in 1988, putting in many hours in the OR.  Joy loved to see people throughout the community, and she always was fond of telling them she was in the delivery room when they were born.
Joy loved to garden, and baking.  She also enjoyed spending time crocheting, and knitting.  Joy loved to tell jokes, and play practical jokes on her friends.
She is survived by her children, Sharon Marmon, of Evanston, WY.; and a son, John “Randy” (Charlotte) Bond, also of Evanston, WY.; and a sister, Darlene DeVoy of Green River.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jerry (Darrell), Debbie (David), Douglas (Sarah), Randy, and Elisha (Kirk).  She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, Gracee Mae.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Charlene, two sons, Vance and James, one great grandchild, Cameron, a sister, Carol Craven,  and one brother, James Nibarger.
Cremation will take place, and graveside services will be conducted in the spring of 2015.
