Josephine Harriet (Keyes) Nichols, lovingly known as Jo, was born on February 23, 1937 in Evanston,, and she returned to the Lord’s embrace on December 3, 2024, in Lyman, Wyoming. Josephine passed away peacefully in her sleep, surrounded by loving family, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion.

Jo graduated from Evanston High School in 1955 marking the beginning of a life filled with rich experiences and cherished memories. She married Wayne Matthew Titmus on September 30, 1955, with whom she shared the joys of raising six children. After their divorce, Jo found love again and married Donald Edward Nichols on September 19, 1969. Through her marriage to Don, she embraced three additional children, adding to their combined family of 17 children.

Throughout her life, Josephine was known for her hardworking spirit and dedication to her family. She worked alongside her sister Betty and her husband Dee at their mink ranch and brought her vibrant personality to The Ranch Cafe as a waitress. In a venture that showcased her entrepreneurial spirit, Josephine ran a donut shop in Lyman with the help of her daughters Trudy and Jolleen. Additionally, she served as a bookkeeper for her and Don's various business endeavors, including a gameroom designed to support the local community's children. Her work extended to the Valley West Motel & Laundromat and Feehan's, where she brought her exceptional customer service as a cashier.

A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Josephine was the heart of her family. Her kindness and generosity were evident to all who knew her. She never forgot a birthday and made sure to celebrate each one with a heartfelt call. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she took immense pride in attending her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities, reveling in the joy that surrounded her loved ones.

Josephine was not only a nurturing figure but also a proud participant in her community. She served as a cub scout leader for many years and was a dedicated member of the Eagles and The Church of Latter Day Saints. In a beautiful testament to her love, Josephine and Donald were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 16, 2015, solidifying their commitment and devotion to each other.

Josephine will be deeply missed by her surviving family members: her sister Virginia Robertson, and her children DeWayne (Charli) Nichols, Jerrie (Richard) Hendrickson, Colleen Kae (Michael Morr), Donald Jr aka Butch Nichols, Brenda Robinson, Trudy Torrez, Steve (Teri) Nichols, Jolleen Lewis, Rocky (Tricia) Titmus, LeeAnn (Jay) Castrodale, Patricia (Joe) Burrows, Tonya (Bob) Smith, Todd (Tammy) Titmus, Donna (Paul) Petersen, and David (Katt) Nichols.
