MOUNTAIN VIEW — Joseph Thad Benton, 48, died on Nov. 20, from his battle with cancer.
He is the son of Rick and Linda Hartley of Mountain View and Mark and Becky Benton of Hot Springs, S. D.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Joseph and Beverly Boan and Thad and Alberta Benton.
He is survived by his children – sons: John (Lizzy) Benton of Alliance, Neb.; and Joshua (Kaylynn) Cunningham of Lyman; daughters: Tina (Kyle) Hurdsman of Mountain View; and Brandi (Martin) Cunningham of Loveland, Colo,; 13 grandchildren; sisters: Tammy Sylvester and Michele Hartley of Kemmerer; brothers: David (Kati) Benton, Justin (Deanna) Case, all of Mountain View; Jim (Janet) of Kemmerer; and the cousin he lived and grew up with, Jonathan (Michelle) Boan of Urie: Jeremy (Brittany) Boan; and Donald (Stacey) Barker, all of Mountain View, and many, many nieces and nephews whom he loved a bunch.
Joe was a member of the Sons of the American Legion. He loved his family, children, grandchildren and many friends.
Memorial services will be held at the American Legion Hall in Fort Bridger Saturday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m.
