Joseph Anderson

Joseph Junior Andersen, age 84, passed away on March 7, 2013 at Evanston Regional Hospital, in Evanston, Wyoming.  He was born on March 8, 1928, in Evanston, Wyoming, the son of Joseph Randa and Alice Mae (Brown) Andersen.

He married, Anna Lou Carpenter on November 3, 1946 in Evanston, Wyoming, and they later divorced.  He then married Helen Pearl Hinshaw Dean, and she died in June of 2007.  Junior served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a sixty five year member of the VFW and the Elks Lodge.  He enjoyed bowling, and dancing, and enjoyed a good game of pinnocle.  Ranching was his life.

He is survived by his children, sons; Donald E. (Mary) of Casper, WY.; Joseph G. (Sandy) of Mt. View, WY.; and Gary (Sarah) Dean, of Evanston, WY.; and daughters, Linda Lou Bonner, of Evanston, WY.; Susan K (Dennis) Barker, of Mt. View, WY.; and Michelle (Scott) Burkart, of Puyallup, WA.; and Christy Dean of Lander, WY.  He is also survived by twenty two grandchildren, and forty four great grandchildren, and twenty two great great grandchildren.

He is survived by brothers, Charles, and Ray, and sisters, Irene, Shirley, and Rae.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons; Richard and David, a step son; Teddy Dean, son-in-law; Quintan Bonner, and a sister Alice.

Funeral services will be held at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 am.  A viewing will be held Monday at Crandall Funeral Home from 6-8 pm as well as 1 hour prior to services on Tuesday.  Interment will follow at the Evanston City Cemetery.
