John Joseph Morrow “Jack”, passed away at Rocky Mountain Care in Evanston, WY on Monday, August 7, 2017. Jack was born in Rock Springs, WY on August 31, 1928 to William and Pierena Morrow.
Jack served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1952. In November of 1953 he married the love of his life, Joyce Sharp. Jack spent his lifetime as a teacher. He taught typing, short hand, Bookkeeping, and business law, both in Farson, Wyoming and Evanston, Wyoming. During the summers off from teaching school, he was a Ranger for the Uintah National Forest Service, which he loved deeply. He was an avid reader and enjoyed big game hunting.
Jack is survived by his wife of 64 years Joyce Morrow, of Evanston, Wyoming; son Jeff (Deb) Morrow of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Son Jay (Diane) Morrow of Port Orford, Oregon; Son John (Renee’) Morrow of Portland, Oregon; 3 grandchildren; sister-in-law Noreen Sharp of Rock Springs, Wyoming; sister-in-law Janice (Ron) Brown of Meridian, Idaho; brother-in-law John (Sandy) Seppie of Rock Springs, Wyoming, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents William and Pierena Morrow; foster parents Oscar and Mary Olsen; and brother William Morrow.
According to Jack’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service to honor his life will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at Crandall Funeral Home at 11 am. Burial of his remains with military honors will follow the memorial service at the Evanston City Cemetery.
