John Lassche

September 11, 1934 — November 29, 2018

Jack (John Andrew) Lassche, 84, passed away peacefully due to natural causes, at his home in Kamas, Utah on November 29, 2018.  He was born on September 11, 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Herman Sr. and Sophie (Will) Lassche. He married Donna Bonnell. He later married Bonnie Jean McCormick Lambert on September 27, 1968 in Kamas, Utah.

Jack worked as a miner in both Wyoming and Utah.  After retiring, he worked for many years at Wasatch Mountain Golf Course in Midway, Utah. He loved working outside and maintaining the golf course.  He was an avid reader, and also enjoyed yard work, hiking and golf. His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren excel – especially in sports.  Jack had a tremendous sense of humor and enjoyed joking and laughing with everyone. He added quiet acts of service in his family, neighborhood and community.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Bonnie, of Kamas and their children: Brenda (Roger) Livingston, Salt Lake City; Scott (Tracy) Lassche, Oakley; Kerry (Annie) Lambert, Kamas; Mark Lambert, Kamas; and Julie (Wayne) Dymock, Paradise; his brother, George (Pat) Lassche, Salt Lake City, 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers - Rudy, Raymond, Clarence, Herbert, Herman, a sister Beverly, and a special needs grandson, Eric Lambert.

In accordance with his wishes, a private family celebration of his life was held Saturday, December 1, 2018.
