Dr. John Yosharihu Kumagai, 89, passed away in Oakley, Utah on June 9, 2011.
He was born on October 26, 1921 in Rock Springs, Wyoming to Harry Kumagai and Kisao (Ikuno) Kumagai
He married Kimmi Okubo in Ogden, Utah on September 18, 1943.
Doctor Kumagai served the communities of South Summit County for thirty years. He was a kind and compassionate family doctor to many in the community.
He enjoyed fishing and camping and caring for his patients.
He is survived by his wife Kim, one son Peter, both of Kamas; two daughters, Candy Kumagai of Austin, Texas; and Penny (David) Atcheson of Seattle, Washington, and a granddaughter, Koki Atcheson
Two sisters, Lily Beppu of Salt Lake City, Utah and Rose Miyasaki of Los Angeles, California
Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in the Marion, Utah Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 pm at Crandall Funeral Home in Kamas, Utah
