John Hoover

John Rex Hoover, 81, passed away at his home in Lyman, WY on Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He was born on May 21, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bernard and Ruby (Johnson) Hoover.
After graduating high school, John joined the US Navy and served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 36 in Bridger Valley for many years.
John’s hobbies included camping, fishing, hunting, traveling, and reading. He always had a good joke to tell. His greatest joy in life was his family and loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids.
John is survived by his ex-wife Rose E. (Hoover) Barry; children John Raymond Quintal, Blaine Meyers, Jarrett Meyers, James Dean Leonard, Debra Linn (Leonard) Shahi, Deny Leon Leonard, and Deon Allen Leonard. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and his brother Fred Hoover.
He was preceded in death by parents Bernard and Ruby; sister Jean; sister Marquita; brother Neal, and nephew Stan.
As were his wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Crandall Funeral Home and memorial services will be held at a later date.
