John Dennis Collins

John Dennis Collins, age 70 went into the loving arms of God on March 27, 2014 at The University of Utah Medical Center, Salt Lake City, UT.  John was born on April 4, 1943, the eldest son of George Edward (Bill) and Florence Elva Spaulding Collins.  He grew up in Glendo, Wyoming and graduated from Glendo High School.  John received an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy but opted to attend the University of Wyoming where he majored in pharmacy and was a member of the University of Wyoming Cowboy football team.
John married Cheryl Malcom on August 20, 1971.  They later divorced but first became parents of two daughters, April Denise and Lynn Erin.
Known as “Big John” and sometimes as “Hoss” John worked for a number of years in various construction and mining jobs where he acquired many friends.  Everywhere John went, he encountered someone he knew.
