Joette Crook Thomson, 83 of Randolph, Utah graduated from this life on January 24, 2018, in Evanston WY. She is the beloved wife of Glen Hatch Thomson. Joette was born May 11, 1934 in Afton WY. She is the daughter of the late Emmett and Rowena Crook.
Joette grew up in Evanston, WY. In high school, she was a cheerleader for 4 years, the Homecoming Queen of 1952, and was on a tumbling team. She was a proud Red Devil! Mother went on to study at BYU she took Tailoring classes, and received many awards for her sewing talent. Joette met Glen in 1954 just before he left on his LDS mission, they wrote each other for 2 years. Upon his return they were sealed October 4, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple. After returning from their honeymoon Glen had a draft call to serve in the US Army, they spent the next 2 years in Frankfurt Germany, where their first son was born.
Joette was a very active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints her entire life. She served faithful in every Auxiliary of the Church, Primary President & teacher, MIA President and teacher, Relief Society Counselor and visiting teacher, she was also a Ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS Temple. After her children were raise mother drove school bus, and worked as a janitor for the school district. Mother was a wonderful homemaker, cook, and was always sewing something. She was generous, kind, loving and always putting others first.
Joette is the proud mother of 6 children, G. Bradley (Becky) Thomson of Layton, UT. Detina (Glen) Peel of Mt Pleasant, UT. Kristeen (Mark) Day of Evanston, WY. Renae (Patrick) Barker of Randolph, UT. Brent C. (Isabel) Thomson of West Valley City, UT. H. Bryan (Becky) of Randolph, UT. 22 Grandchildren, 23 ½ Great Grandchildren.
Viewing Sunday, January 28, 2018 5:30-7:30pm. Randolph Church. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 29, 2018, at 12:00pm at the Randolph LDS Chapel. Viewing 10:00-11:30am. Internment Randolph Cemetery.
