Joanne Ellen Roper passed away on March 14, 2017 in Evanston, Wyoming. She was born on December 12, 1951 to Curtis Moore and Mabel Clawson in Evanston.
She loved to crochet and knit for her grandchildren. Joanne had a full life raising five boys as a single mother, most of her life. She loved the struggle that life had to offer. Joanne worked as a nurse’s aide for many years and loved working for Bridges, the place she retired from. She also, loved to have coffee with her family and friends. Joanne enjoyed Evanston her whole life and was very kind to her cat “Little One”.
Joanne is survived by her sons Tom (Michelle) Roper, Jack D. Roper, and Kaycee (Liz) Roper; stepsons Wayne (Laurie) Owens and Mike (Bunnie) Owens; her brothers Dewayne (Deandrea) Moore, Brent (Brenda) Moore, and Jim (Carrie) Wall; as well as six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews who she also loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents Curtis Moore and Mable Clawson, her sister Norma Jean Wall and her brother-in-law Douglas Wall.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Crandall Funeral Home in Evanston, Wyoming.
