Jerry Baum

November 29, 1942 — February 9, 2014

Jerry Eldon Baum, 71, passed away at his home in Lyman, Wyoming on Sunday, February 9th, 2014.  He was born November 29, 1942 in Provo, Utah to Eldon and Lily Baum.

He married his sweetheart Elsa Bocanegra in Elko, Nevada in 1994.

Jerry served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Navy. He had retired after over 20 years of service at FMC. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 36 in Fort Bridger, Wyoming.  He enjoyed traveling, shooting pool, fishing and hunting and was a member of the NRA.  He always enjoyed playing the guitar with friends.  His greatest joy was found in spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.

Jerry is survived by his wife Elsa Baum; daughter Jody Blashaw of Fort Bridger, WY; daughter Christy Collins of Rock Springs, WY; step-daughter Shelley Lopez of Lyman, WY; step-son Steve Lopez of Mountain View, WY; step-son John Lopez of Mountain View, WY; 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son Eldon D. Baum; brother Wayne Baum; and sister Linda Wallace.

Funeral services to honor his life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11 am at the American Legion in Fort Bridger, Wyoming.  A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.  Burial will take place following services at the Fort Bridger Cemetery.
