Our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, Jeri Lynn Bigelow, passed away on January 10, 2019 in Carlsbad, New Mexico while visiting her daughter.
She was born on February 14, 1962 in Coalville, Utah to Emmitt Arvin and Bonnie May (Gines) McNeil.
She graduated from South Summit High School.
On June 6, 1980, one week after her high school graduation, she married her childhood sweetheart, Kip Eugene Bigelow, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their marriage was filled with love and laughter and they were always together.
Jeri was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many callings. She was currently serving as a Guest Service Missionary with her husband at Temple Square.
Her greatest joy was her husband, her four daughters and her 11 grandchildren where she dedicated her time and energy. She tried to attend every activity they were involved in. She was loved dearly by her family and will be greatly missed. Each of her grandkids felt they were her favorite, and she had a special bond with each of them. She also had a special relationship with her sisters and looked forward to attending the Shakespeare Festival every summer with them.
Jeri had a great sense of humor and she enjoyed showing that humor while performing in the Kamas Valley Fiesta Days Melodrama for many years. Everyone in the community remembers her falling off the top of a piano while singing a humorous solo in one performance. People were drawn to Jeri and she always made them feel welcomed and loved.
She is survived by her husband Kip, and their daughters, Stephanie (Nate) Arnell of Lehi; Sheena (Cameron) Peterson of Carlsbad, NM; Brittney (Brandon) Prete of Springville; Lisa (Sunny) Jagtiani of Spanish Fork, her 11 grandchildren, and her sisters Lori (Rod) Atkinson and Brenda (Craig) Hicken both of Kamas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Bonnie McNeil and her sister Debra Mae Clegg.
Funeral service will be on Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kamas L.D.S. Stake Center, 3038 N State Road 32, Marion, Utah. A viewing will be also at the church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment will be in the Marion Cemetery.
