JJ, Jeremiah John Thompson, was born May 13, 1977. He passed from a stroke June 1, 2024, at 47.
JJ was born in Petoskey, Michigan, and moved to Evanston when he was 3. His early years were spent playing softball, football, and wrestling while in school. JJ and his late night music binge partner Elisabeth were married in May of 2002. They lived their life to the fullest. They raised two daughters, Zoe and Stella. HIs wife and girls were his world. Their life together was truly wonderful.
His world did not stop there, He adored his mother Brenda and they loved their time together. He loved how caring and protective of a grandma she is and how lucky all the grandchildren are to have her. JJ had a childhood full of pranks with his sister Tiffany, which carried into him being a great uncle to Nolan, Jace, Bella, and Blake. His family
in Florida, including dad Brad, Kathy, Amy, Zach, Alexis, and Jessica, also meant so much to him.
What filled out the rest of his life were the friends he made. JJ truly had so many friends that became family, and he loved their kids as his own. You would find them going on vacations, chilling at Bear Lake, Rzr riding, snowboarding, fishing, listening to music, golfing, and going on motorcycle trips. JJ worked for Unit Drilling for 19 years. As he worked away from home, it has comforted his family to hear the impact JJ had on the people in his work life. They should feel comfort knowing he shared the same admiration for them. He was quite the jokester and always had a smile on his face. We can't forget JJ loved a good whiskey and a dance floor. His smile, laugh, positivity, and love will be felt in our lives forever. He will be greatly missed.
