Janice Maxfield

June 21, 1951 — November 29, 2019

Janice L. Maxfield, born June 21, 1951, passed away November 29, 2019 peacefully at home in her sleep, just as she had wished, after a brave battle with Lung cancer. Janice was a hard worker, talented seamstress and quilter, exceptionally loving mother, proud grandmother and devoted wife. Janice married George Maxfield July 11, 1979. They were a perfect match. They fished, hunted and camped together every chance they could. After George retired they had the opportunity to take a long road trip and visited Niagara Falls and she just loved it. Besides sitting at her sewing machine, Janice's other great love was being a grandmother. Janice loved all of her 11 grandkids and could not been more proud of each of them. I know they will all miss her very much especially at Christmas time when they don't get their visit and boxes of Christmas treats that only Grandma could make.

Janice is proceeded in passing by her parents Verdia and Gene Raburn and Denton Hansen, sisters Terri Owens and Polly Reyes, her son Craig Clark, a granddaughter Tenika Jo Maxfield and a grandson Benjamin Lewis Maxfield. She is survived by her husband George Maxfield, daughter Sherri Maxfield, daughter Christine (Kevin) Rundle, son Terry George (Kinzie) Maxfield, a special niece Karri (Marcos) Carrasco, and 9 grandchildren.

The family would like to give thanks to all the family and friends that have sent prays and helped the family through this. We would like to give a special thanks to Ruth Baker, mom though you were an angle and appreciated your help and friendship over the years. We would also like to give a very gracious thank you to the staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for not only trying to help Janice but also for the care you took of George too.

There will be a small viewing held for Janice Wednesday December 4th at the Urie Stake house from 10am to 12pm.  The family will be doing a larger celebration of life this summer and will send more details when the time gets closer.
